Jeffrey De Flavio is a healthcare founder and serial entrepreneur whose startups have raised $500M in early-stage venture capital. He is the Founder of Groups: Recover Together, which provides substance abuse treatment to 30,000 people each week, as well as Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of AlleyCorp incubation Pearl Health, a healthcare enablement platform managing over $3B in Medicare premiums.
Dr. De Flavio has dedicated his career to broadening access to healthcare, particularly for the most vulnerable patients. His first company, Groups, has become the leading provider of value-based opiate addiction treatment with 130 offices across 13 states. Launched while he was still a medical student, Groups was conceived as a space for patients to heal and discover common solutions to their shared problems. The digital-hybrid program combines Medication Assisted Treatment with interventions for social challenges like incarceration and supportive community. Groups’s effective and engaging treatment produces outstanding clinical outcomes (HEDIS Top Quintile). Groups is backed by Bessemer, Thrive, Oak HC/FT, Transformation Capital, RRE, Optum, and Kaiser Permanente.
Jeff serves as Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of early stage-companies Diana Health, Affect Therapeutics, Conduce, Auxa, and Chamber. He earned his BA from George Washington University, his MD from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
